The Shamrock Run, Portland’s longest-running running tradition, is Sunday and features multiple distances ranging from the half-marathon to the one-mile Leprechaun Lap for kids.
And of course the fun and green frivolity of the St. Patty's Day Parade starting at 1pm Sunday at 33rd & Hancock.
If you plan to imbibe, The City of Portland wants you to get home safe. They will be offering discounts on taxi, Uber and Lyft rides. Between 5 p.m. on Friday March 15th and 3 a.m. on Monday, discount coupons will be available. Paper coupons for up to 20-dollars off a taxi ride will be available at many locations. Starting at 8 a.m. on Friday March 15th, discount codes on Uber and Lyft will be posted.
