Oaks Park Oktoberfest is back tomorrow to usher in fall. Fill up on German food and beer, polka music, dancing, kids' activities, cooking shows and thrill rides.

The MAIZE, on Portland’s Sauvie Island is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, with a Peanuts-themed corn maze for 2024. There’s lots to do with the pumpkin patch, the Big Red Animal Barn, hayrides, etc.

Ready or not, The Fear PDX Haunted Houses are open and ready to scare the pants off ya. Including The Slasher Shed, Blood House 2 and Toxic Carnage. These are not for kiddos under 14.

New in theaters: Transformers One, The Substance starring Demi Moore (2024 Screenplay of the Year at Cannes) and yet another horror movie this time of year: Halle Berry's Never Let Go.
