A North Carolina firefighter was lowered underground to rescue a dog found stranded about 10-15 feet down in a storm drain.
A video of the rescue shows a firefighter being lowered into the storm drain to bring the medium-sized shepherd mix back up to the surface.
Raleigh fire crews on scene used a tripod hoisting system with two pulleys and several ropes to lift the dog, whose name is Dagger, around 15 feet out of the storm drain.
In a few minutes and some good, strong tugs at the ropes, Dagger was injury free and returned to his family
