North Pole Studio supports careers in the arts, and exists to increase opportunities for artists with autism and intellectual/developmental disabilities to thrive as active members of the arts community. They work to foster self-determination and facilitate meaningful connections through total engagement in the arts.
North Pole believes that a collective understanding of diverse human experiences is foundational to a vibrant and whole community (and we agree!). Through studio practice and community engagement, they ensure that neurodivergent artists live as self-determined, visible, and valued contributors to the local and national contemporary art community.
NORTH POLE CORE PROGRAMS:
The Professional Studio Program, provides studio space, materials, and support to career orientated artists as well as artist representation services, helping artists secure exhibition opportunities, licensing contracts, commissions, and speaking/teaching engagements. In 2024 NPS artists brought in a total $62,000 in earned income from their art practices.
Classes and Workshops allow artists to explore a wide variety of art mediums and processes through weekly, on-going classes, as well as deep-dive, single day workshops.
Their Exhibiting Artist Program supports artists who create their work from home, but would like support in accessing exhibition and sales opportunities for their art practice.
