Every day, Kiki, a two-year-old cat from Glasgow, walks ten-year-old Sonny and his friends to Primary School, waits in the playground, and walks them back home. Her routine and gentle presence have made her a beloved part of the school community. The school says she even has “100% attendance.”
Kiki’s not a lap cat, but she shows her love in quiet ways like sleeping at the foot of Sonny’s bed, leading the kids down the road, and even popping into classrooms to say hello. Her owner, Michelle, says Kiki is more than a pet, she’s practically one of the children.
Now, Kiki is a finalist in the Cats Protection National Cat Awards 2025, under the Connected Cats category, which honors kitties that bring people together.
