It's a dog-help-puppy world out there, thanks to canines like Olivia.
She’s a registered therapy dog at DoveLewis Vet Hospital here in Portland, Oregon, so she spends her days providing critical care and comfort to humans and pets.
Earlier this year a puppy named Jaxon, arrived at DoveLewis with a life-threatening case of pesticide poisoning. Jaxon was losing blood fast, and needed an emergency blood transfusion.
Luckily, Olivia was the same blood type. And she sat there bravely and calmly through an emergency blood draw which vets then rushed to Jaxon.
His vitals started to normalize, his anemia diminished, and he began to regain the strength. Olivia helped save the lil guy’s life!
If you have a healthy dog, consider having them donate blood. Olivia's owner, Grace Epstein, said about the pup, who routinely donates to the DoveLewis Blood Bank.
