Stacey & Mike's Happy News: 2 Friends Begin Cross Country Trek for AL

Two lifelong friends have embarked on a cross-country journey to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease. The 3,600-mile bike ride from Portland, Oregon, to Portland, Maine, kicked off from the top deck of the Fremont Bridge during yesterday’s Providence Bridge Pedal.

Tracey Collins, 55, who was recently diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, will be supported by Koenraad Köllmann, who has already traveled from Holland to do this for his lifelong friend.

Conrad will be riding his bike while Tracey and her care partner, Scott, will accompany in a support vehicle. As they travel, they will connect with communities to share their story and raise awareness about the disease.

The journey is set to conclude in Portland, Maine, on World Alzheimer's Day, Sep. 21, 2025. A documentary film crew will follow their journey, with plans to produce a film titled "Racing AL."
