It's Hood To Coast weekend. The Mother of All Relays with runners from 40 countries and all 50 states. With the temps nearing 100 this weekend H2C has posted some tips to help runners stay cool. Godspeed and listen to your body! (below a great video from two H2C vets)

Vancouver’s Wine and Jazz Festival begins Friday at Esther Short Park, running through Sunday with extra shade, water and heat precautions.

WalletHub just ranked the Most Fun States in America and Oregon came in #10 overall out of 50. Washington is #7. Earlier this year, they ranked Portland #14 out of 182 cities for our fun factor. They need to do a ranking of weird cities because, well, we keep it weird. Like the inaugural Naked Moon Walk in Forest Park.on Friday night.

It's the final weekend of the Sunflower Festival at Lee Farms in Tualatin. Excited for the upcoming pumpkin season at Lee Farms and then Christmas tree time! Portland FoodieLand is taking over the Portland Expo Center this weekend, More than 150 vendors offering mouthwatering eats like rainbow dumplings, umami cheesy bombs, Korean cheese dogs, candied strawberries, sushi pizza and more.

The Hawthorne Street Fair is this Sunday.  This’ll be the 42nd year for it…with food, music and family friendly fun. Hawthorne Boulevard will be closed to cars so you can walk the streets and enjoy the entertainment. That starts at 11 AM this Sunday and is free to attend.

The Dahlia Festival continues in Canby. 50 acres of breathtaking fields and a beautiful display garden of stunning dahlias featuring over 375 varieties.

On Aug. 22, 1965, The Beatles played in Portland for the only time in their career. Now, 60 years later, a documentary will let you relive the mania. On Friday, McMenamins’ Mission Theater will be showing ‘The Beatles in Portland: The Complete Story,‘ a documentary featuring concert goers, reporters and photographers as they relive what happened when The Beatles played the Memorial Coliseum. The documentary follows the Beatles from their arrival at the airport all the way to their two performances, including over 100 rare photographs and a backstage meeting with The Beach Boys.

Garden Party, an annual arts festival billed as the “fanciest damn music event of the summer” is this Saturday. You can enjoy amazing local talent and fancy outfits at Washington Park Amphitheatre.

The Best Day Ever returns to Edgefield Concerts on The Lawn for two days this weekend.

The Garcia Birthday Band is playing this Friday's ZOO Nights.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The Hawthorne Bridge in Portland will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians from 3 p.m. to 6 a.m. this Saturday and Sunday. Crews will be inspecting equipment on the East Tower of the lift bridge. The Morrison Bridge is an alternate for vehicles and pedestrians.
