PDX Pop Now! is dedicated to stimulating and expanding participation in Portland music. They'll be at the Midtown Beer Garden all weekend.

Geek Week PDX wraps up this weekend. The citywide celebration of geek culture, dubbed "the world's first citywide comic con," transforms over 100 local businesses into hubs of pop culture, featuring events that span fantasy, sci-fi, superheroes, and the supernatural. Join events held at over 120 small businesses across the city.

Back To The Future fans! You must dress up in 80's cosplay and come party like its the 80's at Wonderlove. See a real Delorean and meet a Shannon McFly, a Marty McFly cosplayer Enjoy the '80s music from DJ Switch Dress in and watch the classic film, Grab a drink and a bite from the food trucks.

Join in the most important holiday celebrated by the Hispanic community in Oregon. El Grito features the rich traditions of the Latinx community with delicious Mexican cuisine and family-friendly entertainment.

Mount Angel's Oktoberfest brings 350,000 people to the Bavarian village every September. Because having Oktoberfest in October would just be too obvious.

The Big Bounce America is at PIR for one more weekend with a newly expanded 24,000 sq. ft. World’s Largest Bounce House and incredible 900+ ft. long obstacle course. Next weekend the Big Bounce party heads to the state fairgrounds in Salem.

Tigard Street Fair is Sunday from 10a-3p on Main St. will have live music, kids zone, 100+ vendors and even a petting zoo with baby goats!

The Belmont Street Fair is one of the largest-attended street fairs in Portland. With food and retail vendors of all kinds, live music on three different stages, and a Kids’ Zone.

The Biggest Clothing Swap in The Northwest is going down at The Crystal Ballroom. It is very similar to a classic “naked lady party” (except in a huge venue with lots of people). Folks pack the clothing that they’d like to swap and then take that clothing to the intake table, where sorters work as quickly as possible to sort items into their TYPES (ex, dresses, shirts, etc.) You then take that empty sturdy bag and use it as you walk through the swap to find new-to-you things. It’s that simple.

Need to get rid of hard-to-recycle items? Bring them to New Seasons Market’s community recycling event. Several community organizations are collecting items that you can’t recycle in your curbside bins. This includes plastics, electronics and select household items. Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Revolution Hall on Stark Street in Portland.

Saturday it's Native American Heritage Night at the Portland Timbers. They'll host The New York Red Bulls at Providence Park 7:30pm  The westside MAX line remains closed between the Sunset Transit Center and Providence Park for construction so TriMet will be running express shuttle buses every seven minutes starting at 5 p.m.  They'll leave Southwest 18th and Taylor every seven minutes after the game for a direct trip back to the transit center. Remember match-day tickets get fans to and from the game free.

The final Sunday Parkways of 2025 will be held this weekend in Portland. It features a new route through downtown Portland. It includes Southwest Park and Broadway avenues between Oak and Harrison streets that'll be closed for only pedestrian and riding access from noon to 5 p.m. There will be significant traffic disruptions downtown. Vehicle traffic will only be allowed to cross the route at five locations.

Portland's own Everclear is playing Eugene and Portland's Crystal Ballroom this weekend.

STACEY & MIKE'S HELPING HANDS:

With Love, Oregon is our Helping Hands recipient for September and they're holding their second annual car show in Tigard Saturday from 10-1p featuring classic cars and hot rods plus yummy food truckss. All proceeds going to help local foster kids.

LOOKING AHEAD:

You’ve heard of a flight of wine or a flight of craft beer. How about a flight of bread? YES PLEASE! The 3rd annual Portland Bread Festival features local bread makers, pastry wizards, and carb-loving creators. Sept. 28 at the Melody Event Center.

The Portland Marathon is coming Oct 5. With four epic bridge crossings, a downtown start and finish, and a tour through some of the most iconic landmarks and neighborhoods in town, the Portland Marathon, presented by OHSU Health, offers the most unique race experience to be found.

Stacey: Terminal List: Dark Wolf on Prime Video. Taylor Kitsch, Chris Pratt and Tom Hopper are GREAT in this. Waiting for new episodes on Wednesdays is torture I tell ya. And there's only three episodes left, the season finale is September 24.

Mike: Watching Task on HBO. Only one episode in but already way into it.
