The story of “Mootilda” is nothing short of legen-dairy. Just a few weeks ago, the 4-year-old cow made a daring break from a local slaughterhouse. After hours on the run, she was captured and returned, but her story didn’t end there.
When Aimee Takaha of Aimee’s Farm Animal Sanctuary saw Mootilda’s determination to be free, she jumped into action.
The slaughterhouse told her it would take $2,500 in just 24 hours to save the cow, so Aimee turned to social media. Supporters came through in a stampede, raising the money, and today Mootilda is living her best life, safe at the sanctuary, roaming happily among her new animal friends.
