Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Hockey Player Returns After Devastating Injury

An 18-year-old hockey player from Alexandria, Minnesota, is showing the world what determination and faith can do. Last year, Jackson Drum suffered a devastating spinal cord injury while playing hockey in Canada, breaking the top two vertebrae in his neck.

Doctors said he would never move, breathe, or eat on his own again. But Jackson had other plans. He defied every prediction, coming off a ventilator, eating on his own, and slowly regaining movement. He and his mom his mom, who’s been by his side from the start never gave up.

Now back home in Minnesota, Jackson recently returned to the rink to visit his teammates, receiving a hero’s welcome. He says he wants to inspire others living with spinal cord injuries to keep believing. You can follow Jacksons journey on Facebook.
