Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Haunted Display Going For World Record!

In Cold Springs, Kentucky, a man known as “Halloween Herm” is turning his love of Halloween, and his MOM, into something truly special and maybe even record-breaking. For decades, he’s transformed his home into “Deadsprings Cemetery,” an elaborate Halloween display that neighbors look forward to every year.

What started as a simple tribute to his late mother, who passed away in 1999 and was famous for her own Halloween decorations, has grown into a massive community tradition. Every year, Herm begins setting up on August 18, the anniversary of her passing, to honor her memory with creativity, laughter, and spooky fun.

This year, Herm’s display is bigger than ever, featuring over 300 props, including a Taylor Swift skeleton and a Cincinnati Reds-themed section. He’s even applying for a Guinness World Record, since no one has officially set one for the largest number of Halloween props.

But beyond the ghouls and gravestones, Herm’s haunted yard also helps raise money for the Northern Kentucky Children’s Advocacy Center, making this annual labor of love both festive and meaningful.
