Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Strangers Restore Veteran's Faith In Humanity

An 88-year-old Michigan veteran named Ed Bambas has unexpectedly become the heartwarming star of the internet after a simple video of him working as a cashier struck a chord with millions.

Ed had already retired once, after a long career at General Motors, but losing his pension during the company’s bankruptcy and caring for his late wife through a long illness left him with mounting bills. So he went back to work, flip phone and all, doing what he had to do to stay afloat.

His gentle charm and work ethic caught the attention of social media influencers around the world, including one from Australia who flew all the way to Michigan just to meet him.

What happened next is the kind of thing that restores your faith in people. A fundraiser was launched to help Ed finally retire for good, and donations have been pouring in from across the globe. So far, over ONE MILLION DOLLARS has been raised!

Ed, who was married to his beloved wife Joan for more than 50 years, says he still visits her gravesite every day and feels she’s guiding him through all of this unexpected attention.
