A 9-year-old in Wales unintentionally stole the show at his school nativity play after a mix-up turned “Elvis the Elf” into “Elvis Presley.” When young Oscar Wilkins came home announcing he’d been cast as “Elvis,” his family took him at his word, especially since the costume note requested something “sparkly.”
Naturally, they ordered a miniature Graceland-style jumpsuit, unaware that every other child would be dressed as an elf. It wasn’t until Oscar strutted onstage alongside a sea of pointy hats and green tunics that the family realized the misunderstanding.
His family said the school took the mix-up in stride, no one corrected the costume during rehearsals, and the whole situation turned into a joyful memory rather than a so-called mistake.
