Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Lost Dog Found 2k Miles Away Reunited On Xmas

A little dog named Choco is finally home for the holidays after being missing for five long years, and his return feels nothing short of miraculous. He disappeared from his home in Antelope, California, back in 2019, and despite searching and never giving up hope, his family had no idea where he went. Then, in November, Choco was found more than 2,000 miles away in Detroit, chained to a fence. A microchip revealed the unbelievable truth: this lost pup belonged to a family in California.

Thanks to a group of caring strangers, Choco’s journey back home became possible. A volunteer rescue group stepped in immediately, a shelter followed through, and even a stranger donated airline miles to help fly him home. When Choco finally returned, he was welcomed into a family that had grown over the years but never forgot him, and his spot on the couch was waiting. His owner says she hopes their story encourages others to microchip their pets, especially during the holidays, because sometimes, hope really does find its way home.
