An 88-year-old Wisconsin grandmother just checked off a lifelong bucket list item in the most meaningful way possible, by taking her very first flight with her grandson in the pilot’s seat.
She had always said she’d only get on a plane once he earned his license, and when that day finally came, the whole family joined her for the trip from La Crosse to Chicago.
Thanks to his airline perks, she even got a first-class seat, joking that she felt like a “spoiled celebrity” as she looked out the window at the clouds for the very first time.
Her family made sure she was ready for the adventure and the biggest takeaway was the joy of sharing such a special milestone together.
