Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Dog & Owner Trying to Save Him Rescued

A Boston man is calling himself lucky to be alive after what started as a normal run turned into a life or death moment.

He was out with his two-year-old goldendoodle when the dog suddenly took off after some geese and dove straight into the Charles River.

As the dog got farther out and stopped responding, panic set in, and without really thinking, he jumped into the freezing water to go after him.

What followed was scary. The water was near 40 degrees, and within minutes he could barely breathe or move his arms. He managed to reach his dog and, with almost no energy left, pushed him toward shore while struggling to stay afloat himself.

People nearby rushed in to help pull them both out, and thankfully, both made it back safely.
