A group of about 100 Italian chefs brought a little sweetness and a lot of ambition, to London, where they set out to break a world record in a very delicious way.
Inside Chelsea Town Hall, they carefully assembled a tiramisu that stretched an incredible 1,445 feet long, officially topping the previous record set in Milan. The finished dessert measured 440.6 metres, which is 2.6m shorter than New York’s Empire State Building if you include its antenna. Check this bad boy out!
And this wasn’t just a big dessert, it was massive in every sense. The team used around 50,000 ladyfinger cookies, tons of mascarpone and more than a few eggs to bring it all together.
