Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Gonna Be Late Honey, Gotta Save A Moose First

A tow truck driver in rural Canada ended up with a very unusual rescue mission after spotting a moose trapped in the ice of a frozen lake near his home.

Clint Gottinger had just finished helping another stranded animal and was heading out on two long tow calls when he noticed the exhausted moose frozen into the ice near a junction about a kilometer from his house.

Even with customers waiting, Clint knew he couldn’t leave the animal behind. Using the deck of his tow truck, a soft sling, and some help from neighbors who arrived shortly after, he carefully winched the moose free after the animal had reportedly been stuck there for nearly nine hours.

Once the moose was safely out, Clint brought him back to his property to recover

By the following morning, the moose had regained his strength and quietly wandered back into the wild.
