Tris Pharma, Inc. has expanded its nationwide recall of infants' liquid ibuprofen because the medicine may contain a higher concentration of ibuprofen than advertised, the FDA announced last Tuesday.
The New Jersey-based drug company said here is a "remote possibility'' that the increased amount of ibuprofen could lead to permanent kidney injuries in infants. Other adverse effects could include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea, along with tinnitus, headaches or possible stomach bleeding.
