John Brewster, an electrical engineer at HP, and his wife are really into star gazing. So much so that back in 1979 during Oregon's last total solar eclipse (which was obscured by overcast skies!) they decided to build the optimal home in Monmouth in preparation for August 21, 2017. According to KGW.com The home was built in a precise spot with a 7 ft domed telescope for optimal viewing. That's right, dude's whole life has been about this moment. Sure hope it's not cloudy.
