Starbucks hasn't exactly been slaying it in the PR department lately. However before we say goodbye to PRIDE month, Starbucks wanted to make an announcement. The company, who's already been covering gender re-assignment, or "bottom," surgeries since 2012, will now begin covering "top" surgeries, hair transplants, voice therapy and facial-feminization surgery for it's transgender employees. Most companies won't cover these types of surgeries as they are considered cosmetic and elective.
Quite the effort to show they're not only accepting of all people, they're also in the business of helping you be your true self. Well done Starbucks.
