Stacey & Mike's Helping Hands

Stacey Lynn and Mike Chase From K103 Mornings with Stacey and Mike in Portland, Oregon Explore New Ways To Support Different Non-Profits and Charities Month to Month

We Picked The Pixie Project...for Great Reasons!

K103 Mornings with Stacey and Mike have selected The Pixie Project for the month of April as part of our Helping Hands initiative to reach out and uplift charities, groups and non-profits we think deserve a little more of the spotlight. The Pixie Project is working to change the face of animal rescue. Pixie matches rescue cats and dogs with their perfect families, providing personalized support to adopters before, during, and after the adoption process. Pixie is also a safety net for Portland pet owners and this year the need is greater than ever. Through their community veterinary clinic, they provide vital vet care, medication, food, and supplies for the pets and people in need in our community, keeping pets out of the shelter and in homes with families that love them.

Their Mission: Loving pets and people through personalized pet adoption and low-cost veterinary assistance. Pixie brings together local families with amazing rescue cats and dogs through family-friendly adoption services. Pixie is also committed to helping owners keep their existing pets happy, healthy, and in their homes by offering vital veterinary care, medications, food, and supplies to the pets and people most in need in our community.

Your gift to The Pixie Project helps improve the lives of animals and people in your community. Donations help fund our animal rescue program (placing shelter cats and dogs in homes with their perfect families) and our community vet clinic program (helping owners keep pets in their homes by providing access to veterinary care and spay/neuter). To make sure we're reaching those most in need, we’ve expanded the essential services we provide, including emergency owner surrender support for seniors, veterans, and pet owners who have lost income, housing, or are dealing with illness, and providing pet food, medications, supplies, and training support to families in crisis.
