Hard to imagine life without music. Research has shown that music can enhance intelligence, improve mental focus, boost the immune system, strengthen self-esteem, and increase confidence. Music reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, improves memory and aids toward inducing a better and deeper sleep. Music literally lifts your spirits.
And one musical mom in Portland made it her mission to make sure music was available for every kiddo in school. Music Workshop was created right here in Portland to provide a free of charge inspirational K-8 online music education program that any school can access and teach regardless of their means, location or musical expertise. Amy Richter of Music Workshop will be joining us on Facebook Live Tuesday July 12 at 10:30am with some exciting news about fun music opportunities this summer for your kiddos.
Music Workshop is 100% FREE for all schools to have and teach, but they can't do it without our help as they are 100% funded through donations and grants.
- Music Workshop creates and supplies free of charge, inspirational, relevant and culturally responsive music education programming
- Their programming is available to all K-8 teachers no matter their school means, location or musical expertise
- Music Workshop is educating over 190,000 K-8 students in over 530 schools throughout Oregon!
