155 Days until Christmas but who’s counting? We are! The tradition of counting off the days goes back to the early 19th century. German publisher Gerhard Lang printed the first one, inspired by a childhood memory of his mother attaching 24 cookies to a board for him to eat one each day leading up to Christmas.
You can find 2024 advent calendars already on sale with little doors that open to everything from Taylor Swift to Harry Potter, chocolates to Lego Star Wars, socks to Whiskey. And if you want to fill your own, Pottery Barn has the cutest advent calendar (above) on sale called Little Glitter Houses.
All this week Stacey & Mike are celebrating Christmas in July along with Oregon Ballet Theater’s production of The Nutcracker.
